Skófagoss Waterfall - Famous waterfall, worth the stop
Note
Most people stay in Reykjavik but we opted to stay in the South and visited the city on our way back to the airport. We were closer to the main natural sites and you don’t need more than a day/afternoon in the city, although there are some new restaurants and hotels that look interesting!
Iceland is not known for it’s cuisine but there is good food at the hotels and some towns
Food can be expensive without many options so don’t expect to get a great value or culinary experience
